Are social media wasting their time with media profiles?


Looking at the business world today, social media has taken the world by storm. Almost every company has a media profile on various social media platforms. The big question really is, are media profiles really as beneficial to a company?

“Stop wasting your time on social media and worry more about your business” (Bill, 2013). This basically means that people and businesses need to worry less about the shape of tools they use to move the businesses forward. As many companies make the mistake of posting too much information on social media initially.

Building a social media profile could be beneficial to a company as some of the best strategies come from starting slow and getting creative. For a risk free approach, you can use the social media sites and see what, if anything, your competitors are doing. Media profiles could help many companies generate meaningful articles, video’s and infographics. The goal at the end of the day is to create clients on social media network.
So, how do you decide whether to jump into the social media mix or not? Fortunately, it’s not an all or nothing decision. You have to decide on a business perspective whether it has a purpose. In order for companies to be successful it will have to be consistent to create an effective social media profile
